Students wishing to progress further from the CPL stage may also undertake a eight-week theory course at AAPA for the ATPL. A pass in the ATPL theory exam grants the student a ‘frozen ATPL’. Students may subsequently apply for the full ATPL after they have gained the required flying experience in their flying career.
